The Whites were unfortunate to lose this game, with some dubious decisions from the ref and time wasting from the opposition. But once again the Whites should have been well in front if they had put the chances away they created.

A very good come back win for the whites to day who had some vey good chances in the first half but couldn’t take them, but got back into the game with goals from Noah Garvey and Tom Fulton.

First Half:

The Whites had 9 Chances that all came to nothing,( if they could be a bit more clinical in front of goal they would blow most teams away)

25 The opposition only second shot at goal and they score, they were a bit lucky following a bit of a scramble, the ball fell to a  Blue Star player who scored.

The Whites created two more chances before Half Time but again they came to nothing.

A game played in atrocious conditions with howling winds and driving rain.

The Ref got the game underway and it was the Whites that were on the front foot and after 2 minutes Tom put through Jack who could only fire over,

It was the Whites that scored first when Noah put Tom in to slot the ball home for 1-0

With the strong gusting wind in their faces the Whites were playing the better football and created several chances to be 4 up before the opposition scored with a deflected shot that beat the whites keeper for 1-1 it was the opposition that scored again with a shot into the top corner that gave the keeper no chance and just before half time they     scored again with a punt from the keeper that got caught in the wind and sailed over the keeper.

HT 1-3

Once again it was the Whites that started the second half well and created chances to pull the game back and it was the opposition keeper that kept the White out but he couldn’t keep the free kick from Xander that flew into the net from 50 yards (45 Metres for the youngsters) for 2-3 When the opposition did get chances the Whites keeper kept them out with some very good saves, The white kept plugging away and it paid dividends when Tom cut in from the left and fired into the top corner for 3-3 The Whites created a few more chances that came to nothing and the game ended 3-3.

A good fight back from the Whites against a strong team and on another day could have easily won it.

Back to winning ways for the Whites today, but in strange circumstances.

The Ref got the game under way and it was the Whites that created the best chances.

Noah was put through but his shot was saved.

Noah again won the ball but his shot was saved.

When Noah put Jack through, his cross was blocked for a corner from which           the Whites scored, when Xander headed in for 0-1.                                                                                                                                                                                      Noah again, who was having a fine game, had another shot saved,

When the Whites won a free kick just outside the area, Jack took it, but his shot        was blocked by the opposition wall,

The Whites increased their lead, when Leon put through Jack to score for 0-2.

When the opposition won a free kick out on their left, that was crossed to the            near post, Leon cleared it with a strong header that fell to Jack, who then put            Tom through to break away and score for 0-3.

The Ref then had a long talk, to a fan of the opposition and asked him to leave         the field of play.

Play got back under way

The Whites won a free kick that Xander crossed that Leon got to with a                    powerful header that went just wide.

When Leon put Ben through he could only fire wide.

When Ben was through on goal, the opposition goalkeeper collected the ball            and unexplainably barged into Ben and the Ref gave a penalty.                               The opposition coach then called all his players over to the touch line, he then         spoke to them for a couple of minutes and then decided to call an end to the             game?

The Ref had no choice to end the game.

Looking at the Tameside League web site they have the Whites winning 3-0.

Following several chances from the Whites and a couple from Boundary that came to nothing, the Ref blew for full time.

Some excellent football from the Whites today in the first half, may be because they went so far in front in the first that they didn’t play so well in the second.
