The Whites lost today in a game that they didn’t play very well in against the top of the league.

In a half of very few chances.The couple of chances that the Whites had were either wide or blocked and it was Waterloo that scored from a free kick outside the area to lead at half time.

The second half was just the same for the white who created the chances but couldn’t take any of them and it was Waterloo who scored from a cross on the right to a player at the far post to head in. FT 0-2

Result:  Dukinfield U14s Whites 4 v Uppermill U14s 3

The Whites got back to winning way today with an hard fought win against Uppermill on a rainy, drizzle, merky day.

The white start off well with shots from James Collinson, Mackenzie Yates and Gianni Tumini that all went wide. Uppermill then took the lead when they got a breakaway and scored for 0-1, they could have increased their lead but for two fine saves from the Whites keeper Callum Malpas, The Whites then got back into the game from a good through ball from James Collinson to Mackenzie Yates who scored a fine goal to level the score HT 1-1.

Straight  from the off the Whites  scored to take the lead, when the Whites keeper pulled off an excellent save fed Brodie Ashworth on the right who crossed for Mackenzie Yates to score his second for 2-1. The Whites went further ahead with a very good cross from Mackenzie Yates to Ben Melling-Whitworth to slide home for 3-1. and further increased their lead when Ya Ya Malek put in Mackenzie Yates for his Hat Trick for 4-1. The Whites had further chances that came to nothing before Uppermill got back into the game and scored 2 goals for 4-3. But the Whites held on and the game ended.FT 4-3.

Result:  Dukinfield U14s Whites 1 v Duk U14s Yellows U14s 2

A defeat for the Whites today by the Yellows in a very close fought game from two good teams.

1st Half: In a half of where chances fell to both teams,  but none of they were taken, the Yellows had two chances cleared off the line and the Whites had a shot blocked on the line and a free kick that hit the bar and came back into play and was cleared.        HT 0-0,

2nd Half: The second half was much the same as the first, but it was the Yellows who scored first for 0-1, the Whites then had three chances that came to nothing before Mackenzie Yates scored from a cross by Brodie Oldham for 1-1, The Whites keeper Callum Malpas made two good saves to keep the Whites in the game but with time running out it was the Yellows that scored from a breakaway that the Whites keeper got his hands to but couldn’t keep it out, one last chance for the Whites who won a free kick just outside the area but it was saved FT 1-2.

Not a good day for the Whites today who were beaten by the Blacks

1st Half. The whites went a goal down early on, but fought back with several chances with shots from Brodie Ashworth that was saved, Charlie Walker just couldn’t get to a cross. The Whites had four more shots at goal that was saved, before Xander put over an excellent cross for Josh Read to head home for 1-1 HT.

2nd Half. Following a scramble in the whites area  Callum Malpas saved well and the ball was cleared. The ref then gave a penalty to the Blacks? that they scored for 1-2.  from the kick off the Whites equalised when Yaya put over a cross that Xander got to but his shot was blocked and it fell to Mackenzie Yates to slot home for 2-2. With the Whites on the attack and following a scramble Charlie Walker fired home for 3-2. The Blacks came back into the game to level at 3-3 and they increased their lead for 3-4 with few chances from either team the ref then gave another penalty to the Black from which they scored for 3-5 FT.

An other excellent win for the Whites, who again came from behind for the second week to win comprehensively

The first action of the half was a shot from Charlie Walker that went over the bar, the Whites then fell behind for 0-1.The Whites then got back into the game with a goal from Charlie for 1-1. Charlie scored again for 2-1. The whites increased their lead when Xander scored from twenty yards (18 Metres for the youngsters) to make it 3-1 at HT.

The Whites were on the front foot from the off and Charlie  Walker scored from a cross by Yaya Malek for his hat trick to make it 4-1.  The Whites were well on top now and again Yaya put over a good cross for Mackenzie Yates to score for 5-1. the Whites then won a penalty that was missed by James Collinson, Xander then had a shot that flew just passed the post, before he put in Mackenzie to score for 6-1, The Whites had several chances that came to nothing, before a shot from Xanders came back into play from the cross bar and fell to Brodie Ashworth to score for 7-1, then from a very good run by Brodie, he scored the Whites final goal to make it 8-1 at FT.

A very good win for the Whites today who came back from being 2-1 down at half time to win 6-2.

The Whites had several chances to take the lead with shots from James Collinson and Josh Read that were saved and a free kick from Alexander Winstanley that hit the bar. The whites then took the lead from a cross by Brodie Ashworth to Mackenzie Yate to scramble home for 1-0, following a bit of slack marking by the Whites the opposition leveled the score 1-1. The whites then had several more chances to take the lead the best one from Josh Read whos shot hit the bar and was cleared, just before half time the opposition scored for 1-2 HT.

The Whites started the half really well and had two chances before Brodie Oldham scored to level the score 2-2, with the Whites playing really well, they then went on to  score four more goals, a free kick from Charlie Walker, a penalty from James Collinson, a well taken goal from Conner McBride and a goal from Sam Walker. 6-2 FT.

Tintwistle Tournament Report 5/6/2016

The Greens played in the Tintwistle Tournament today in very hot conditions and on very hard pitches, they had several players missing due to holidays and were very unlucky to go out in the semi-final.

Group Stages

Game 1:  Lost 1-0 v Wallasey Wanderers

Game 2: Won 4-1 v Richmond Rovers

Game 3: Drew 2-2 v Reddish Villa

Game 4: Won  2-0 v Stockport Dynamos

This gave them 8 Points and went through to the Semi-Final on Goal Difference.

Semi-Final. v Middlewood Rovers (Sheffield)

The Greens went a goal down after 5 minutes but fought back to level the score, with about 30 seconds left a rover player had a 1 on 1 with the Greens Keeper Callum who pulled off a very good save for a corner that the Greens failed to defend and the Rover took the lead. with in seconds the ref blew for full time.

To get to the semi-final stage in any competition is very good. so well done lads.

Result:  Dukinfield U13s Greens v De La Salle U13s 0-4.

Not a good day for the Greens today in the League Cup Final.

In a very cagey first half it was the Greens who created the best chances with a good run from Huey Turner who fired just wide Alex Judd then had a free kick headed away, Callum Dawson fired just over, Callum Connelly had a shot blocked and just before half time Callum Dawson had a pile driver tipped over for a corner HT 0-0.

The Greens created several chances before the opposition scored when the ball was kicked out of the Greens keepers hand that the Ref didn’t spot for 0-1.The opposition then went on to score three more goals, one a penalty to win the match 4-0.

A comprehensive win against a undersized and disheartened Curzon squad.

Following a multitude of chances for the Greens, they ended the game 17-0 with goals from Alex Judd 3, Huey Turner 3, Callum Dawson 3, Dylan Francis 3, Mackenzie Yates 2, Charlie Hobson 1 Josh Mellor 1 and Brodie Ashworth 1, a mention for the Curzon keeper who made numerous saves to keep the score has it was.

Result:  Dukinfield U13s Greens v Chadderton Park Lions U13s 5-1

An excellent win for the Greens today in the Challenge Cup Final.

The Greens where on the front foot straight from the off and won a corner when a shot from Dylan Francis was pushed for a corner, the Lions had two chances that both went wide, but then the Greens took the lead when Callum Connelly fired in a free kick that fell to Josh Mellor to lob the keeper for 1-0,  Callum then fired in another free kick that was saved, the Greens were playing really well now and had four chances that came to nothing, the Greens won another free kick that Callum Connelly floated in this time it fell to Dylan Francis who fired home for 2-0. the Lions then scored within a minute to make it 2-1, but the Greens hit back from a corner that Huey Turner Headed in for 3-1. HT

The Greens had five chances to further increase their lead that all came to nothing. when Charlie Hobson fired in a shot that was scrambled for a corner, Huey Turner scored from the corner for 4-1, The Greens went on to create several more chances  before Huey Turner went on a mazy run and slotted the ball home for 5-1.The lions had two chances near the end that came to nothing and the game ended in victory for the Greens.
